What is APENCONF 2025?
APENCONF 2025 is the Australian Pasifika Educators Network (APEN) biennial national conference. It brings together educators, students, researchers, and community leaders who are working to improve educational outcomes for Pasifika learners in Australia.

The 2025 theme is “Navigating Currents: Pasifika Strength in Changing Times.” It recognises the resilience, creativity, and adaptability Pasifika communities show across changing educational and social settings.

The conference is held on 28 November 2025 at Griffith University, Logan Campus, 68 University Drive, Meadowbrook, Queensland, Australia.

The conference is for educators, students, researchers, and community leaders who care about Pasifika education and want to strengthen practice, connection, and leadership.

What can I expect from the program?
The program includes keynote panels, presentation sessions, and time for talanoa networking. There are sessions on community-led co-design, Pacific research, education practice, student experience, leadership, and creative and cultural work.

Yes. The conference features several keynote panels, including:

Is there a cultural opening?
Yes. The official opening includes a Welcome to Country by Uncle Ted Williams and an Ava Ceremony led by Le Fale Aganu’u, along with welcomes from Griffith University and APEN.
