Moana Women Rising: Climate Stories from Pacific Women Teachers
$45.00Price
Moana Women Rising brings together the voices of 19 women teachers from Samoa and Tuvalu, writing about what climate change is taking from their islands, their classrooms and their communities. Their stories speak to the losses that rarely appear in climate reports: land, language, ways of knowing, and the places that hold family and identity.
The anthology grew out of storytelling and educational leadership workshops in Samoa and Tuvalu, led by the Australian Pasifika Educators Network (APEN) with Tagata Moana Writers. It was presented at Pre-COP in Suva and travels with the team to COP31.
All proceeds go directly to the Samoan and Tuvaluan teacher-authors.
