Navigating Leadership as a Pasifika Educator - Lead from who you are. Format: Live and interactive — available online and in person Duration: 2 hours Delivery: Q2, Q3 and Q4 — dates and locations to be confirmed Facilitator: To be confirmed Certificate: Certificate of completion issued upon attending the session ABOUT THIS COURSE Pasifika educators bring a depth of cultural knowledge, relational capability, and community accountability that is a leadership strength — not a limitation. This workshop is designed specifically to support Pasifika educators to develop their leadership identity, build advocacy capacity, and navigate educational systems with confidence and cultural integrity. Participants explore what leadership looks and feels like from a Pacific worldview, and develop practical strategies to progress their influence and support others along the way. LEARNING OUTCOMES Participants will: • Articulate your leadership identity and the cultural values that ground your practice • Understand the landscape of educational leadership and identify pathways for progression • Develop advocacy strategies that are culturally grounded and professionally effective • Build mentoring and coaching capacity to support other Pasifika educators • Navigate institutional systems with confidence while maintaining cultural integrity • Create a personal leadership development plan grounded in community and cultural accountability WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE? • Emerging and aspiring educational leaders • Pasifika educators seeking greater influence and progression • Educators in formal or informal mentoring roles • Heads of Curriculum, Instruction, and Year • Assistant and Deputy Principals PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS This course is designed to support your growth against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST). On completion, participants may log this professional learning against applicable AITSL standards as part of their ongoing accreditation requirements. WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW? This is a live, facilitated session delivered online and in person. Registration is required to secure your place.
